Abstract


To know about mind, it is necessary to know what mind is. Wikipedia defines mind as a set of cognitive faculties including consciousness, perception, thinking, judgment, and memory. Modern science defines it as the cognitive function of physical brain and nervous system. However, Ayurveda, the ancient science of life, describes it as Mana. It has derived the practical aspect of Mana from Indian philosophy.
